Early Bay Review

The following is a review of the show by Irene Sapsford who is a member of The Essex Vee Dubbers.

"We were given a leaflet advertising this show while relaxing in our van, so thought we would give it a try. Arriving at 10am on the Sunday, but understand there was a lot of activity with live bands on Saturday night – plus beer tent!!
It is a good show, plenty to do and look at. The Mid Suffolk showground has numerous things like the sanctuary and golf. There was abseiling, a park and entertainment for children. The live band on Sunday was a bit noisy for us and not our type of music, but there were crowds watching and enjoying it.
The auto-jumble was a little sparse, there were a lot of places to get something to eat through we thought it was pricey. Plenty of stalls selling the usual VW stuff.
The toilets were clean, which after two days of the show we were surprised. They were nicely spread out around the ground. The water stands were easy to find.
The were quite a few Beetles for sale, unfortunately no campers.
The camping area was clean and nicely spaced out. There didn’t seem to be any club stands but the camper owners were friendly and chatted to us. There were as many campers in the car park as were on display. The parking area was well organised with plenty of space to sit outside your van and have a picnic.
The one van we were impressed with was a purple split with a lot of chrome."
